This role forms part of the Village n Life sales team, supporting trade relationships and group reservations across the portfolio.
The Role
As a Groups Travel Consultant you’ll handle reservations, sales administration and trade support for groups and series bookings. You’ll manage communication with clients, process reservations in Opera and ensure accurate documentation and follow-up. The role requires precision, strong product knowledge and the ability to build lasting relationships with travel trade partners.
Key Responsibilities
– Maintain trade sales database, website and communication with partners
– Process accurate group quotations, confirmations and invoices
– Record and manage reservations in Opera, including amendments and special requests
– Coordinate transfers, meals and value-added bookings with internal teams and suppliers
– Liaise with clients and Village n Life properties to ensure smooth group handovers
– Follow up on provisional and peak bookings, deposits and prepayments
– Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints
– Promote Village n Life products using upselling techniques
– Support Travel Support Centre shifts, including evenings and weekends
What We’re Looking For
– Matric (hospitality or tourism qualification an advantage but not essential)
– Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
– Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
– Opera experience advantageous
– Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
– Ability to multitask and work under pressure
– Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
